(Source of image: Kalinga TV) A major fire broke out on June 19, at a residential complex in northwest Delhi’s Mangolpuri area, leaving 13 people to suffer from burn injuries. A cylinder exploded, which caused the fire. They identified the injured as Savitri, Sachin, Sanju, Sandhya, Vinod, Vivek, Mahima, Monishka, Geeta, Prince, Laxmi, Chhatarpal, and Nirmala. Then they were rushed to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital. But later, four people (Geeta, Prince, Savitri, and Sachin) with major burn injuries got shifted to Safdarjung Hospital. Around 6:44 PM, a PCR call was received regarding the incident at Mangolpuri police station. Parvinder Singh, the Deputy commissioner of police (outer), said, "The police team and two fire tenders were rushed to the spot. The house belongs to Ganesh and his wife, Savitri. They were reportedly changing the gas cylinder when it burst. Preliminary inquiry suggests gas leaked while changing the gas cylinder, which caused the blast."
