18 children tested positive for Corona in ManKhurd Children’s Home, Mumbai.
Eighteen children from a children’s home in Mankhurd at Mumbai’s tested positive for Covid -19. All the infected children are shifted to a Covid care center at Vashi in Navi Mumbai. The good news was given by the Officials of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) that is the health of all the children is stable.

When two children from the Children’s home showed Covid symptoms of body pain and high fever. Afterward, on 25th August, an RT-PCR test was conducted at the Shatabdi hospital.
When the test results of the 2 children came positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday and Thursday, after that a special testing for 102 resident children was organized.
Out of the 16 children whose age break-up is available, one of the kids is nine-year-old, four of the children are between the age group of 12 to 13, five kids are in the 14-to-15-year age group, and the remaining six children are in the age group of 16 to 17 years.
Civic officials inform that the next testing will be done after five days at the facility. “Regular health check-ups of children were done. The guidelines of the government are strictly enforced within the organization,” said an official from the children’s home. According to the protocol, the orphanage has been sealed and sanitized and every person of the residents quarantined. This is the second time in the past few months that so many Covid-19 cases have been found at one place and it is one among the biggest number of patients under the age of 18.
