2 RPF jawans save an elderly man from slipping into platform gap.

Two alert Railway Protection Force (RPF) jawans saved the life of a man about to slip in the gap between the train and platform. Recognized as Mansoor Bafuur Ahmed, a man in his seventies, from South Delhi.


The incident happened at 8:30 pm on Friday, as reported by an official.


The man was trying to board the moving Punjab Mail from platform number 4 in Kalyan railway station. Unsuccessful, he fell.


He was in the fatal danger of slipping into the gap of the platform as the train sped up. In an exemplary display of bravery, constables S P Yadav and Jeetendra Gujar quickly moved into action. They were able to rescue and pull him back into safety. The man later thanked the RPF personnel.


The incident got captured in a CCTV camera, installed at the station.


Ahmed had come to meet his relatives in the city. He was returning on Friday when the scary episode took place.

This is not the first time that prompt action by the RPF jawans or police has saved a life. Similar occurrences are often reported from across the country, particularly Maharashtra.
