Recent news reports have revealed that the Adarsh Nagar locality has been experiencing several snatching incidents in the last couple of days.
New Delhi: In Adarsh Nagar, Delhi a 25-year-old woman was stabbed to death while resisting a chain snatcher. This happened on Saturday, February 27. The CCTV cameras provided ample evidence for the incident.
It showed two women who were walking down the street. All of a sudden, a man from behind tried to snatch a chain from one of the women. The victim, Simran dropped her child and caught hold of the snatcher. The snatcher stabbed her and ran away from the spot. Simran was escorted to the nearest hospital soon. But she failed to respond to the treatments.
The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. as made evident from CCTV footage. Simran’s brother publicly appealed to the police asking them to begin their investigation for his sister.

The Delhi Police has taken in the FIR and identified two suspects so far. As per the statements of DCP Northwest Usha Rangnon, 10 Police teams are onto the case investigation and quicker progress is expected.
This is the second stabbing case in Delhi in the last two days. The first one involved a 17-year-old boy, who was stabbed in Kalkaji for resisting three boys who were stalking his sister. But the boy was rushed to AIIMS in time and he is said to be stable now.
