250 shanties in Punjab's Kapurthala gutted in fire.

Near the Rail Coach Factory in Kapurthala, on May 26, they gutted about 250 shanties in a fire. The police have reported zero casualties. Also,1000 dwellers are now homeless. It took 4 fire tenders and over 2 hours to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is yet to be found out. Officials at Kapurthala district administration said that they prepared temporary arrangements and food for migrant workers at government schools in Bhulana village. Deepti Uppal, the Deputy Commissioner said the administration will assess the loss caused by the fire and will compensate the dwellers. The Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has asked the district administration to provide immediate help to the families.
