4 people killed in fire incident of Nagpur COVID care hospital

A case of fire has come to light in Nagpur's Well Treat Covid Hospital. According to the information received, the ICU of the hospital caught fire. After the fire, the patients being treated in the hospital got shifted to another hospital. 4 people, including 1 woman, have died in the accident.

Quick actions were taken

Besides several fire brigade trains, top police officers also reached the spot. Police said in the accident that about 27 people have been evacuated from here and shifted to other hospitals. They cannot say anything about his health condition.

Medical Superintendent of Government Medical College and Hospital, Dr. Avinash Gawande said that they have brought 4 bodies to Government Medical College.

The cause of the fire could not be ascertained. However, it is being told that they saw the fire emanating from the AC.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted on the incident of fire in Nagpur hospital. Through his tweet, he consoled the bereaved families killed in the accident. Those who got injured in the accident also wished for a speedy recovery.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has described the deaths of patients admitted for treatment in Covid Hospital as unfortunate. He has tweeted and said that my sympathies are with the relatives of the deceased.

COVID situation in Nagpur

Meanwhile, 6,489 fresh cases of the corona were reported in the last 24 hours in Nagpur today. While 64 patients died. However, 2,175 patients were discharged during this period. The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 49,347 while 5,641 people have died.
