7 Babies Saved by Fire Personnel in Maharashtra Hospital Fire


The fire broke out at Maharashtra hospital around 2 am


A fire incident transpires in Maharashtra’s hospital on early Saturday. Immediate actions of fireplace Brigade personnel and guard saved the lives of seven babies. Unfortunately, ten other babies weren't saved.


State Minister Anil Deshmukh said that the experts at the National Fire College and therefore the Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology in Nagpur are looking into the matter.


BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis claimed human error because of the reason behind the tragedy and offered a compensation of ₹10 lakh each to the families of dead babies. He said, “ it seems the hearth erupted after a spark within the cooling (of the hospital ward). Fortunately, seven babies were saved as security guards rescued them employing a ladder.”


State health minister Rajesh Tope informed the reporters that three of ten babies died of burn injuries. the remainder died thanks to suffocation caused by smoke within the block. He added that ₹5 lakh would be paid to relations of every of the dead baby.
