7 kilogram IED recovered in Jammu On Second Anniversary of Pulwama attack

Jammu: After two years of the gruesome attack on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy in Pulwama, (which marked the life sacrifice of 40 force personnel), an Improvised Explosive Device weighing seven kilograms was found and detonated near Jammu Bus Stand on Sunday. Previously, Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) had later voluntarily taken all responsibility for the occurrence of the attack in Pulwama.

As per the statements given by officials, the planting of IED was allegedly traced back to a man belonging to the Pulwama district, named Suhail. He was a member of the Al-Badr outfit.

Before the recovery of the IED in Jammu, two top terrorists from Kunjwani and Bari Brahmana areas of the Union territory respectively were arrested. A terrorist associated with The Resistance Front (TRF), Zahoor Ahmad Rather, was arrested from the Bari Brahmana area of the Samba district on February 13. He was wanted because of his suspected involvement in the killing of three Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers and a police official in south Kashmir last year.

Besides this, Hidayatullah Malik, popularly known as Hasnain, who claimed himself self-styled commander of the Lashkar-e-Mustafa (LEM) was also found and taken into custody on February 6.
