The Accident happened near Indraraj Dooravet Factory located on Tarapur Highway. (Source of image: Dailythanthi) On June 16, a head-on collision between a car and truck killed 10 members of a family. The incident took place at 6:20 am on Tarapur highway in the Anand district of Gujarat. A child, 2 women, and 7 men died in the accident. The deceased are identified and their families have been informed. The truck driver is absconding since the accident. The family was traveling from Surat to Bhavnagar. The Tarapur police team and 108 ambulances rushed to the spot. Bhartiben Pandya, the Deputy Superintendent of Police said, "The front seat of the car was badly mangled, and we were initially not sure about the number of bodies on the front seat." The bodies were sent to Tarapur Referral Hospital. It is reported the speed of the car was very fast and it collided with the truck coming from the front. The car was badly damaged and the bodies trapped in it were pulled out with great difficulty. Vijay Rupani, the CM of Gujarat, spoke to the district collector and assured help to the victims' families.
