Bangalore : A male nurse staff caught red handed for recording offensive video of a female surgeon


The police arrested the accused, for recording the offensive video of the female doctor on his mobile phone last Friday.


Again a shameful incident was recorded in Bangalore, a male nurse staff at a Bengaluru hospital was caught filming a woman doctor while she was changing her clothes before going to the operation theatre.


According to the information, the accused has been identified as Maruthesha, who is 31 years old, and he is currently working at Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Trauma and Orthopaedics on a contractual basis.


The police have arrested the accused, for recording the offensive video of the female doctor on his mobile phone last Friday.


The female surgeon of 28 years old has complained that she has spotted the secretly placed mobile phone on record mode in the changing room. She had also said she was totally shocked after seeing her own offensive video.


The doctor later informed her colleagues about the phone. The victim and her colleagues started asking people on the duty about the ownership of the said phone. Later, it was found out that the phone belonged to male nurse staff Marutesha.


The doctor approached the director of the institute Dr. HS Chandrashekar who in turn reported the matter to Tilak Nagar police.


As the matter reached the police, police seized the mobile phone and had found that the accused Marutesha was secretly recording women doctors for several months.


Police had informed that the accused used to delete videos after watching them. They have recovered several deleted videos of other women from the recycle bin of the phone.


Police have booked Marutesha for sexual harassment and arrested him.


A police officer said, "The accused has not shared the videos with others nor uploaded them on the internet. He has been booked under section 354-C (Voyeurism) 201 (causing disappearance of evidence)."
