Kolkata: Many CISCE and CBSE affiliated schools have decided to take annual exams virtually next month onwards, basically at the end of the academic year where the classes will continue online only.
Some schools are planning to make changes in question patterns, they want to test the knowledge and concept thinking power of students instead of the usual question-answering session. Most of the schools are processing to held the exams with significance on assignments and viva instead of appointing 100 marks to each paper.
Both the principal of Heritage school and St James school share the same viewpoint of setting the questions virtually basically in form of a viva session as the students do not share the same routine of giving 3 hours long exams like before. Seema Sapru, principal of Heritage school stated that each teacher is going to connect with each child during the upcoming annual exam and also issued that from 23 February theory of XI will be initiated.
Different school authorities shared different opinions, one of them mentioned that if the campus gets the order to disclose before March then there are chances to hold 3 hours long test as before on-campus or else online examinations will take place. Others said they are processing to finalize the question pattern as the exam date could be in mid-February and also planning to held a written examination and set objective type questions.
One of the schools held proceeded " Schools authorities are still not calculating to open for eye-to-eye communication with students up to class XI glaring at the current scenario, hence, the examination will be taken virtually ."
