Amit Shah's visit to flag off BJP's Poriborton Yatra in Kolkata Today


Kolkata: Amit Shah arrived in the City of Joy today at 12:30 p.m. The Union Home Minister was here to abate the 5th Phase of BJP’s Poriborton Yatra. He landed in Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Airport in the afternoon.

He is set to visit Bharat Sevashram Sangha and Kapil Muni Ashram. Later, he will organize a roadshow from Kali Mandir to SBI, Kakdwip branch, and South 24 Parganas to flag-off BJP's Poribortan Yatra.

Mr. Shah’s previous visit was on February 11. This time he is also arranged to go to Aurobindo Bhawan in the evening.

The tenure of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government, led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal is set to end on May 30, 2020.

The upcoming state elections are to take place in 2021 for 294 Assembly seats altogether.
