The Badhaai Ho actor, Ayushmann Khurrana's first look on Doctor G has come to the limelight. Junglee pictures announced its third collaboration with Ayushmann Khuranna after two back-to-back hits - Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017) and Badhaai Ho (2018). The film directed by Anubhuti Kashyap, a talented filmmaker who was the director of Afsos (2020) and an Assistant Director in Gangs of Wasseypur (2012), is also the sister of Anurag Kashyap. The film is based on campus dramedy and the plot whirls around a medical institute where we find two actors - Ayushmann and Rakul Preet Singh, his co-actor, playing doctors.
In this image, we see Ayushman fully posed in a white doctor's coat and a stethoscope on his left pocket. To complete the look, he adds a pair of round goggles and his idiosyncratic smile. Ayushmann shared this poised look with the media. He happily stated to the media about his excitement at working on this new film. "The subject of Doctor G is very close to me. Considering the lockdown restrictions, we all have been waiting to start the film and we are glad that the day has finally arrived. It's an honor to portray a doctor on the screen for the first time. I am truly excited to shoot the film also because it is going to allow me to relive my memories of being a student a living the hostel life. I'm looking forward to collaborating with my director Anubhuti."
The film is written by Sumit Saxena, Vishal Wagdh, and Sourabh Bharat. Besides Rakul and Ayushmann, we also find the director and the production house also feature Shefali Shah in the leading lady role. Ayushmann is personified as Dr. Uday Gupta and Rakul as Dr. Fatima, a medical student. Shefali, on the other hand, is playing as a senior Doctor - Dr. Nandini.
