An estimate of 53.51% voter turnout was recorded in the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections. The highest turnout was recorded in Muzaffarpur among 17 districts, where 94 seats are located.
The lowest turnout so far has been reported from Darbhanga at 26.73 % followed by Patna at 28%.
Several leaders cast their votes including Nitish Kumar, Tejaswi Yadav, and family and Shatrughan Sinha. Special arrangements were made for disabled voters across Bihar.
Voting of the 2nd phase began at 7 am in the morning and will continue till 6 pm. The time has been extended keeping in mind the Covid affected patients to exercise their vote in the last hour.
Polling is underway in which over 2.85 voters will be voting across 94 constituencies on Tuesday.
