Veteran Politician of Bihar Raghuvansh Prasad Singh dies on Sunday

Former Union Minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh took his last breath on Sunday. He died around 11 AM at AIIMS Delhi due to breathlessness. He was 74 years old and died due to post COVID complications.

He was tested positive for Coronavirus in earlier June and was admitted to AIIMS Patna. He was recovering there, but due to further complications, he was taken to the Delhi and was admitted there in AIIMS.

Singh was critically ill on Friday and he was put on a ventilator in the hospital, Kedar Yadav, a close aid of leader said.

The body of Raghuvansh Prasad will be brought to Patna, for the completion of his final rites.

Many leaders offered condolence to the veteran leader on their social media handles.

President Ramnath Kovind offered condolence

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Raghuvansh Prasad Singh’s demise has left a void in the political sphere of Bihar as well as the country.”

"Passing away of Raghuvansh Prasad Singh has left us alone. I had met him recently at AIIMS, Delhi where he was admitted. We were in regular contact with the doctors who were treating him, they told us that he was suffering from lung cancer," RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said.

A few days back Raghuvansh Prasad resigned Rashtriya Janta Dal party. He wrote a letter to party Supremo from the hospital regarding this. He didn't like the inclusion of Rama Singh in party politics.

On this Lalu Yadav asked him to complete his treatment and talk to him once. But before that, he left the world.
