Bike-rider's abduction in city at midnight, two arrested

Allegations of filmy abduction in Kolkata this morning. The kidnappers took the biker in a taxi and blocked the road. He has later released on a ransom of Rs 3 lakh. Such incidents have naturally caused a stir in Kolkata. Two people have been arrested.


According to police sources, a resident of Tiljala, Mohammad Nadeem (28) was going west from Park Circus Connector. Suddenly a taxi came in front of his bike. He lost control in the accident and fell with his bike. Allegedly, four people got out of the taxi and forcibly picked him up. The taxi started moving around the city with the abductee. Money is demanded.

As Nadeem refused to pay, the miscreants put a gun to his head and looted Rs.21,000 of his salary. Even then the kidnappers did not give up. Threats continue to demand more money. Nadeem necessarily called his younger brother. Three lakh rupees was demanded from him. After the money was transferred online, the abductee was thrown from a moving taxi in front of a mall in Kasba. Nadeem sustained multiple injuries after being thrown from a moving vehicle.


After that Nadeem approached Pragati Maidan police station. The police have already started the investigation after the complaint is filed. Lalbazar informed that two people, including the accused taxi driver, were arrested on Saturday. Two more accused till escape. The arrested taxi driver is Sohail Ali alias Aman (30) and the other accused is Sheikh Ansar Ali alias Niaz (35). The taxi has been confiscated. The abductors have been charged under multiple sections of the Kidnapping and Arms Act.
