BJP Leader From Chhatisgarh Commits Suicide

On Sunday evening, ex-minister of Chhattisgarh and BJP leader, Rajinderpal Singh Bhatia has been found hanging at his home in Churia. According to the police, the deceased lived with his younger brother and his family, although he was alone in that house on Sunday. When his family returned, they found him hanging from a ceiling fan in his room. Rajinder Singh Bhatia was a three-term MLA from Khujji in Rajnandgaon, he was the transport minister in the first tenure of the BJP Government in the state, after the state's first formation, during the term of 2003 to 2008. Police think that this is a case of suicide, although they are still questioning the younger brother of the deceased, and his family. Sources say that Bhatia had been complaining about his poor health condition. He had been unwell and had been suffering from post-Covid symptoms.
