The incident took place on Friday at Mundhwa
Businessman, Jalaram Prajapati(45), was robbed by two unidentified persons at gunpoint inside his shop at Mundhwa. He lodged the complaint regarding this case at the Mundhwa police station.
Police informed that on Friday around 3 pm, Prajapati was alone in his shop in Keshav Nagar, when the two men came to the shop. One of them pointed a gun at him and ordered Rs. 20 lakh. They checked the drawer of the cash counter but could not find Rs. 20 lakh. They demanded Prajapati to call up his children and ask them to come to the shop with Rs. 5 lakh.
The robbers found Rs. 44,500 in the cash counter and robbed that, escaping from the spot on a two-wheeler. Police have appointed two people in this case under sections 392, 452, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and the section of the arms act.
"We are working on some leads. No arrests have been made yet," said Assistant Police Inspector Vijay Chandan, who is investigating the case.
