Universities will reopen the hostel complying with all the protocols.

Universities and colleges will reopen from November 23 but only with 50% attendance.

In the notification issued by the state government on Tuesday, guidelines were published after 8 months of the countrywide lockdown of educational institutions.

The classes will resume in a phased manner with students being instructed to use wear masks, hand sanitizers, and maintain social distancing among peers.

Thermal scanners and handwashing facilities would be provided by the institutions along with tie-ups with nearby hospitals and NGO workers.

Hostels will be availed by those not living in the containment zones following all the protocols. Students with symptoms of COVID-19 will not be allowed to enter.

Overcrowding at the gates is prohibited and parents must have to ensure that their wards do not step outside if not feeling well. Aarogya Setu app must be download to be in touch with the health updates.
