Covid Vaccine Arriving at Bhubaneshwar



Bhubaneshwar, Jan 12: Finally the wait is over as Covid-19 vaccine arrived yesterday at Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. A cargo flight covid-19 vaccine was scheduled to land Biju Patnaik International Airport at 4:25 pm, on Jan 11.


The vaccine will be supplied by AII Cargo Logistics and Allied services company limited(AAICLAS)in Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Guwahati, Vijaywada, Bhubaneshwar, Patna, Ahmedabad, Official source said. Bhubaneshwar will get 34cases of covishield vaccine 10dose i.e. 40800 vials, said Chief Health secretary Pradipto Kumar Mahapatro also. According to SOP (Standard Operating Procedure), within 10 minutes of the arrival of the vaccine will be delivered to the representatives. The vaccine in Bhubaneshwar will be shifted to state vaccine stores and then district stores step by step. Around 3.28 lakh health workers will be vaccinated for immunization in the first place from January 16 and onwards.


The vaccine vans are instructed by some district administrator to be prepared and alerted to receive and deliver vaccines in the short notice from the vaccine stores. Eight private hospital and 152 Government health facilities planned to launch it on January 16.
