Humanity cries, as a little child was raped by an almost 42-year-old man, who is now behind the bars.
In Patna, a 4-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 42-year-old man. The accused, Raghunandan Paswan has been arrested by the police.
Arti Kumari Jaiswal, Women Police in-charge of the area, has stated, the incident took place in the Gardanibagh police station area. The rape has been confirmed and further investigation is ongoing. It is speculated that on Friday night, the rapist entrapped the girl, with the greed for money. He took the four-year-old to a deserted place underneath the Bhikhari Thakur bridge at Yarpur. The father of the girl, as soon as being aware of the incident, lodged an FIR, on Saturday. The family, after some search, found the rapist to be sleeping under a railway station counter in Karbigahiya. Accordingly, the complaint has been filed under the POCSO act. The four-year old's medical examination was conducted, confirming the same.
The minor's parents owned a small food stall, where Paswant used to come regularly. This is how they were acquainted with each other. Under the pretext of coming to the stall and giving her money, Paswant took her away when the mother was busy and unaware.
The four-year-old is in critical condition and is undergoing treatment at a hospital. Jaiswal stated, the parents identified the rapist as Paswan based on details provided by the child. They later brought the case in the knowledge of the police.
Her statement before the judicial magistrate is yet to be recorded. The accused has been sent to judicial custody.
