Among others, YouTube faced the brunt of the global outage with 24,000 cases reported
Google on Monday faced a global outage for nearly an hour after most of its services including Youtube, Gmail, Google Contacts, Google Docs went offline affecting users worldwide.
YouTube faced the brunt severely after 24,000 cases were reported while Gmail had 11,000 cases reported. Google Docs and Google website showed 500 and 15,000 cases respectively, according to Downdetector.
Google Workspace dashboard shows that services are restored but the company is yet to release a statement.
However, YouTube shared a tweet confirming that the services restored. Upon opening its homepage, the ‘something went wrong' message flashed during the outage but the service was active while working on incognito mode.
Back in November, YouTube had faced a similar outage which was rectified in a span of two hours approx. The cause was not unveiled by the company.
