Greater Noida resident out for shopping with family, robbed at gunpoint


This incident occurred around 6 pm when Nishant, a Greater Noida resident went out with his family.


The news comes in from the Surajpur area of Greater Noida where a man was held at gunpoint while shopping for vegetables. It was a Sunday evening and the man, named Nishant was out with his wife and kid to purchase some vegetables near Migsun roundabout.


According to the officials two men held Nishant at gunpoint before taking his car away with them. This incident occurred around 6 pm when Nishant, a Greater Noida resident went out with his family.


He went near the Migsun roundabout in the Surajpur area. Nishant lives in Omaxe Green Palm society and his car was a Maruti Brezza. The two robbers fled with the same car after holding him at gunpoint.


Central Noida Deputy Commissioner of Police Harish Chander said the police have launched an investigation regarding the mishap. Mr. Chander revealed that they are processing the complaint from the victims and an FIR lodge is on the way. It is not clear yet how many people were involved but there were two people who fled with the car.


According to the police, Nishant left the car key inside the vehicle. The family alleged otherwise stating that the car keys were snatched at gunpoint. The wife and child were supposedly in the car when the men robbing the car entered it. The wife and child were pushed out of the vehicle before the culprits drove off.
