Two laborers died and 19 have been admitted to the hospital allegedly after consuming poisonous liquor in Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh.
According to the sub-divisional magistrate of Fatehpur, officials visited the village Bhauli in Ghazipur after the incident and found out that 21 laborers were fallen ill after consuming liquor.
The laborers were working in home construction. At the end of the day, the owner of the house, Dangal Maurya brought 18 quarters of the liquor. After consuming it two laborers Bhola Paswan (43) and Motilal (48) got serious infections and died in a district hospital of Kanpur. Whereas others with mild illness rushed to the hospital in Kanpur. According to the doctor, they are out of danger.
Ghazipur police station SHO Kamlesh Pal said that Dangal Maurya and others are under police custody and interrogation is still going on. liquor bottles were also seized and sent to the forensic lab for further evidence.
