India receives shipment of Remdesivir, Ventilators and other medical equipment from EU.

On May 14, an aircraft from European Union states, carrying a shipment of Remdesivir, ventilators, and medical equipment arrived in New Delhi.


Arindam Bagchi, the External Affairs Ministry (EAM) spokesperson, appreciated the solidarity shown by European countries including — Germany, Netherlands, and Portugal.

He tweeted, "EU solidarity and cooperation continues. Aircraft arrives carrying 223 ventilators, 25000 vials of Remdesivir and other medical equipment from Germany, 30000 vials of Remdesivir from the Netherlands, and 5500 vials of Remdesivir from Portugal. Value support of our European Union partners."

Also, India welcomed 5.6 million masks and respirators that arrived from Kazakhstan. The EAM Spokesperson tweeted, "Further deepening our Strategic Partnership. Welcome shipment of over 5.6 million masks/respirators that arrived from Kazakhstan."
