An Indonesian flight, The Boeing 735- 500 lost track, soon after it took off by 2:30 PM. Within 4 minutes the flight started losing its altitude. After a minute the flight went high up to 10,000 feet altitude, the flight radar tracking service (Flightradar24) started missing the tracks.
The Sriwijaya (aeroplane) departed from Jakarta following the en-route Pontianak, Western Kalimantan province.
Presently, no traces of Flight SJ182, registration number PK-CLC (MSN 27323) along with its 62 passengers have been found.
Budi Karya, Transportation Minister of Indonesia said, the plane along with 62 passengers and 12 crew members went missing soon since the flight took off.
Agency Basarnas, head of the country's search and rescue said no radio beacon signal had been detected in the water of north Jakarta.
Another Basarnas official said, debris has been found in the sea but they're not sure whether it is the missing plane. Zulkifli, a security official also said some cables, a piece of jeans, and pieces of metal have been found on the water. A local fisherman Nurhasan, claimed too, to find metallic pieces on the sea.
An official from Boeing stated that they are looking forward to acquiring every minute information regarding the missing flight. Flightradar24 also tweeted on the incident mentioning the details.
