INDORE (Madhya Pradesh): Indore Crime Branch arrested an arms smuggling gang of 5 members on February 20, Saturday.
The police have seized the 51 firearms from the gang.
The gang possessed 51 firearms consisting of 22 country-made pistols and 29 pistols. Their plan was to distribute the weapons to other states. The cops seized the firearms.
The police are probing for the places where the gang has distributed firearms earlier. They are also searching for the sources from where the gang has procured the raw materials. Deputy Inspector General of Police, Manish Kapooria is leading the investigation.
The police have gone through the criminal records and have come to know that one of them has a criminal record.
The 5 members are Prakash Singh, Govind, Rajendra, Piyush Singh, and Ravi Solanki. One of them hails from Bihar and the rest belong from different parts of Madhya Pradesh.
