Police have taken into custody the 3 LeT associates.
Police in Bandipora, Jammu and Kashmir have arrested three associates. They were linked with the terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba. The police have also seized the incriminating materials from their possessions.
The Bandipora police, acting on specific inputs apprehended the three terror associates on Friday. It was a joint operation of the police with 13RR and 45BN CRPF at Rakhi Hajin.
They have been identified as:
Bashir Ahmed Mir - son of Abdul Ahad Mir - a resident of Rakhi Hajin.
Irfan Ahmad Bhat - son of Ghulam Ahmad Bhat - a resident of Bonikhan Mohalla Hajin.
Hilal Ahmad Parray - son of Ghulam Mustaffa Parray - a resident of Parray Mohalla Hajin.
As per records, they were involved in providing shelter, logistics and other support. They lent support to the active terrorists in Sumbal and Hajin areas.
Incriminating materials were found such as:
3 live hand grenades.
1 AK-47 Magazine
All recovered items have been taken into case records. Further investigation on these will be done.
An FIR under the relevant section of the law is registered in Hajin Police Station.
