Khushbu Sundar has always been one of the most vocal leaders of the Congress party on social media. Her fights against BJP and the Sangh groups make her shift from Congress to BJP surprisingly.

She very actively replied to each and every opposition member individually and tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah in all her tweets. A senior Congress leader said “She was an untiring fighter for the Congress on social media, a star campaigner, a real crowd puller and powerful orator during polls in public rallies,”

Khushbu was not an apolitical celebrity. Even before entering mainstream politics, she actively voiced her concerns against various issues. She initially joined the DMK party in the presence of Late Karunanidhi. As she was sidelined by Karunanidhi's son, M K Stalin, also the current chief of DMK, she joined the Congress party.

Khushbu's oratory skills are commendable. She is a bit different from the other celebrity-turned-politicians as she had shown her maturity in politics beyond her age. "The trust that people have repeatedly shown in Prime Minister Modi is something that needs to be understood", says Khushbu.

Ms. Sundar, who lives in Chennai, joined the BJP in New Delhi in the presence of party’s State unit chief L. Murugan and national general secretary C.T. Ravi, along with two others from Tamil Nadu- journalist Madan Ravichandran and former Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer Sarvana Kumar. “I promise to carry out any assignment given to me by the party and express faith in the leadership of our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji,” she said at a press conference.
