Legal notice sent to Delhi lawyer who claimed One Plus Nord 2 5G explosion in lawyer’s Gown

On Tuesday, Global smartphone maker company One Plus confirmed that their company has sent a cease-and-desist notice letter against a Delhi-based lawyer who had claimed that his One Plus Nord 2 caught fire and exploded in his Gown.


The company said that the claims of the person were "defamatory" and the company will follow the proper legal procedures to resolve the issue.


One Plus company told IANS that, "We confirm that we have issued a cease-and-desist notice to the concerned individual. We will follow the proper legal procedures to resolve this matter,".


At the starting of the month of September, a lawyer named Gaurav Gulati wrote on Twitter that the explosion of the phone took place in his office when he was at work and it has traumatized him.

Adding in his statement he wrote on Twitter that, "I got burn injuries and due to inhalation of poisonous smoke of blast I am feeling breathing problems...,".


Gaurav also claimed that his hearing and vision capacity has also got affected due to the alleged incident.


One Plus Company had mentioned that the alleged victim had not allowed them to perform a proper investigation in the matter.


In a chat talk with OnePlus spokesperson told IANS "...despite multiple attempts to analyze the device, including a visit to the premises to examine it in the individual's presence.

Adding in the statement spokesperson added, "Under such circumstances, it is impossible for us to verify the legitimacy of this claim or address this individual's demands for compensation,".


In the notice, the company also adds that the Delhi-based lawyer should remove his original tweets referring to the incident and issue a written statement to all media outlets clarifying his stance.


OnePlus also ask Lawyer Gaurav Gulati to offer an “unconditional apology" on the matter along with an undertaking to not post or disseminate any “disparaging content" about OnePlus and its products in the future.
