Massive fire disaster took away the life of newly-wed woman

On the first day of 2021, a massive fire accident was reported at Lucknow-Agra expressway where a car caught fire and burst into flames taking the lives of a couple traveling home to Lucknow.


Police also said that the victim's husband tries a lot to rescue her. But the central locking of the car failed. It has also been noted that both the couples in their late twenties, was returning to Lucknow after visiting temples at Mathura and Vrindavan.


Pradeep Kumar, in-charge of the Fatehabad police station informed that “The matter is being investigated. The husband, Vikas Yadav, from Mohanlalganj in Lucknow, said that he was married to Reema from Krishna Nagar in Lucknow on December 2. They both had gone to Mathura and Vrindavan to have ‘darshan’ at temples and stayed in Mathura on Wednesday night."



On Thursday night the couple began their journey from Lucknow and had moved 30 km on the expressway from Agra. After a while, they notice a tremendous smoke was getting discharged from the car's engine. Approximately at 2:30 am, Vikas stopped the car and came out for checking the bonnet after that within a moment fire starts to spread from the engine to the cabin.


Reema, was still inside the car when the fire starts to spread inside the cabin. At that time the central locking system also got jammed. Vikas had also got severe burn injuries while fighting the fire. He also called the police at that point to rescue them. The fire brigade was also called to save his wife, but it was too late Reema died on the spot as the fire caught too quickly.


On Friday at Fatehabad police station, Family members of both Reema and Vikas reached there and had broken down after seeing Reema's burnt dead body.
