Metro to resume in Kolkata, West Bengal, amid pandemic
Kolkata metro resumes work from next week along with a special run on 13th September for NEET aspirants. The stereotype norm, of people down with fever, cough, and cold won't be allowed to travel remains along with an addition of many other does and don't.
Moreover, children and elders won't be allowed to board, as they are more prone to this infection.E-passes will be issued by the government before the services resume to avoid overcrowding and chaos in the metros. West Bengal government decided to set a target of 1 Lakh daily passengers.
On 13th September, 66 trains will serve (33 Up and 33 down) between Noapara and Kavi Subhash. No tokens will be provided to the boarders. Metro services won't be working on Sundays. The one day gap will be utilized for sanitization of stations and compartments.
This all includes usage of masks and body sanitization while entering and exiting the stations.
