Now Covid-19 vaccination available for all above 18.

The Centre opens the ongoing vaccination drive to everyone above the age of 18 years beginning from May 1 and gives the state governments the flexibility to buy vaccines directly from the manufacturers.

“Corona will be decimated and India will win,” Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who is under Covid-19 treatment at present, tweeted on Tuesday, announcing the Cabinet’s decision to make vaccination free in the state.

Both Assam and Uttar Pradesh governments have announced that vaccines will remain free of cost for everyone above the age of 18 years in the states, and Assam has already placed an offer of 1 crore doses from Bharat Biotech.

States are fetching ways to step up vaccination so that the maximum population can buy and be treated against the virus.

Vaccines will remain free in phase 3, as it was in Phase 1 and phase 2. In this phase, vaccine manufacturers will provide 50 percent of their production to the open market after stating a fair price.

Irrespective of whether it's a private facility or a government facility, Uttar Pradesh and Assam have already announced that vaccination in these states will be free of cost.
