Ola told they are going to launch its electric scooter in July.
According to the information, App cab aggregator Ola has invested an amount of rupees Rs 2,400 crore in setting up a factory in Tamil Nadu. Here, all the scooters will be manufactured, with a capacity of 2 million units a year.
The new factory will create over 10,000 jobs once it’s completed.
A company’s spokesperson said, “The Ola Scooter is a tech-driven electric vehicle with industry-leading range and speed. It will be manufactured at the Ola Future factory in Tamil Nadu.”
He added, “Ola Scooter will offer the customer best-in-class performance and experience. The electric two-wheeler will be priced aggressively to make it accessible to all and will help speed up India’s transition to sustainable, clean, and electric mobility.”
The company has recently disclosed that all the customers who will travel in this electric two-wheeler, will get a charging facility, and also unveiled the Ola supercharger Network.
