Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today inaugurated an Online Process-based standardized & Scalable Career Education Platform in Jammu and Kashmir.
As a step to transform the future of youth in the world of possibilities, this initiative is in partnership with Transform Foundation.
The overall intent is to enable curiosity, creative thinking, and awareness in youth along with decision-making skills leading to lifelong learning and career development.
Pilot project to be done in parts of J&K
The unique initiative will be implemented in Ganderbal and Udhampur districts of Jammu & Kashmir in the first phase and would be providing career education guidance to the students so that they can at a very early stage choose their academic preferences and their future goals.
This prudent initiative is in line with The New Education Policy 2020 that aims to harness the energy, enthusiasm, and exuberant dreams of the youth of J&K.
It will transform J&K, says Lt Governor.
On the occasion, Lt Governor stressed the need for a holistic approach towards instilling scientific inquiry and humanism. "Such quality educational initiatives can transform the landscape of Jammu and Kashmir", he remarked.
Referring to the initiatives of the Prime Minister, the Lt Governor said that the youth should get quality education and guidance to help them prosper in their future aspirations.
The spokesperson, explaining the nuances, asserted that after the review of the pilot, the initiative should be rolled out in the remaining districts of the UT.
The inauguration was followed by a technical session marking the first day of the program at Ganderbal and Udhampur. The initiative is being led by the leadership team of the Transform Foundation.
