Pakistan: Court sentences Hafiz Saeed to jail for 10 yrs in another 2 cases

Lahore: The mastermind behind the terror attack of Mumbai and the chief of JuD, Hafiz Saeed was sentenced to imprisonment for the next 10 yrs on Thursday by Pakistan's anti-terrorism court.

It is to note that the US has already placed a bounty of 10 million dollars on Saeed and the UN has already designated him as a terrorist. The terrorist was arrested on last year's 17th July and was alleged in terror funding. He was sentenced to jail by the anti-terrorism court of Pakistan for 11 years in February for two terror funding cases. Saeed is in imprisonment in Kot Lakhpat jail, Lahore which is known for its tight security.

Personnel of court informed the source that 4 other leaders of JuD were sentenced to imprisonment by Lahore's ATC. The two other aides of terrorist Saeed, Zafar Iqbal & Yahya Mujahid was sentenced to 10.5 yrs of imprisonment, and the brother-in-law of the chief, Abdul Rehman Makki was sent to imprisonment for 6 months. The judge of ATC, Arshad Hussain Bhutta gave the verdict after cross-examining the witnesses' statements.
