Rajasthan police officer allegedly rapes 26-year-old woman complainant for 3 days, arrested


The crime happened at the compound of the police station inside the officer's living room.


A shocking incident has been reported from Rajasthan. A woman who went to demand justice had become a victim of injustice itself. The incident took place at Kheri police station in Alwar district. A 26-year-old woman has alleged the 54-year-old police sub-inspector for raping her for three days.


The woman claims that she had come to file a harassment complaint against her husband on March 2, when the sub-inspector Bharat Singh lured her into his trap and promised to provide counseling to the couple and help to solve the matter.


According to the police, the woman was sexually abused by a police officer Bharat Singh from March 2 onwards. The crime happened at the compound of the police station inside the officer's living room.


Earlier,2 years back she had filed a dowry harassment case against her husband but later, it was settled between the two. Now again woman alleged that her husband wants to give her divorce which she doesn't want to. Regarding this, she came to the police station on March 2 and approached the sub-inspector to help her. The accused officer lured her and raped her from march 2 to 4. The woman also alleges that there was another officer, officer-in-command who also was involved in her rape.


The Alwar police said that it has taken the matter seriously. Based on a phone recording, provided by the woman, police have prima facie verified her accusation and lodged an FIR under section 376(rape) of IPC. The accused officer has been taken into custody.

Police have also promised to take further disciplinary action as per the rules and regulations.
