14.02.2019 marks a black day in the history of India. The notorious militant group Jaish-e-Mohammad has been held responsible for the death of 40 CRPF personnel of the 76th Battalion. Many soldiers were injured as well.

The tragedy took place when a car loaded with explosives rammed a bus carrying the security personnel on the Jammu-Srinagar Highway (NH-44). This event took place at Lethapora around 3:15 PM IST. Injured were immediately rushed to the army hospital in Srinagar.

India has always been in a dispute with Pakistan over Kashmir. There has been a terror attack in Uri, the attack in Mumbai for which Pakistan was held responsible.

Although India blamed Pakistan for this bloodbath, the latter denied any involvement. Jaish-e-Mohammad group later released a video of the assailant Adil Ahmad Dar, a local boy from Kakapora who joined the group in 2018. They also claimed responsibility for the attack in this very video.

Our nation erupted at the death of their brave hearts in this heinous tussle. Leaders around the world condemned this harrowing attack. Candle marches, protests were held across India. Violent attacks were reported in J&K. Soon, a curfew was called to maintain the security of the state.

Since then India and Pakistan have been in a never-ending skirmish. The Pulwama Attack was soon followed by the airstrikes in Balakot. India claims that they destroyed the terror camps across the LoC in Balakot, Pakistan killing around 350 militants.

Today, India salutes the martyrs of the Pulwama Tragedy. UP CM Yogi Adityanath and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh paid homage to the personnel who lost their lives.

Home Minister Amit Shah paid tribute to the martyrs. In a tweet, he said, "I bow down to the brave martyrs who lost their lives in the gruesome Pulwama attack on this day in 2019".

Civil Aviation Minister, Hardeep Puri tweeted," On the 2nd Anniversary of the dastardly Pulwama terror attack on our soldiers, I join the nation in paying homage to their valor & supreme sacrifice."

Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi also tweeted on Sunday saying that they are indebted to the families of the martyrs.

The NIA which was responsible for investigating the Pulwama Attack has issued a red notice after two years against JeM chief, Masood Azhar and three more people who were involved in the dastardly attack. Global arrest warrants have been issued against Masood Azhar, Abdul Rauf Asghar, Ibrahim Athar, and Ammar Alvi. NIA hopes that Pakistan will cooperate in this measure and hand over these terrorists to India.

After the Pulwama attack, Pakistan has been assigned to the grey list under FATF (Financial Action Task Force). They have also warned Pakistan that if they fail to meet the 27 conditions issued in the notice, Pakistan will be blacklisted. Under pressure, Pakistan has also released an arrest warrant against Masood Azhar but Indian officials say that it is just codswallop.
