A Meeting was held at central headquarters in Dimapur, Nagaland
The NSCN (I-M) on Friday resurged with its demand of a separate National Flag and Yehzabo(constitution) as a political solution to the Indo- Naga issue.
A joint council meeting of the NSCN-IM on Friday deliberated on the "historical" and political rights of the Naga people.
The meeting also stressed that the Government and the NSCN must seek a final agreement based on the historic Framework Agreement of August 3, 2015.
Ironing out differences is the key
The outfit recalled the historic declaration is the first ever that the Govt of India admitted the Nagas were never part of India at any given point of time and that the Nagas issue is not that of law but political in nature needing a political solution.
The idea is to iron out differences and resolve the deal that has been on since 1997.
Social media nuisance
NSCN however expresses contempt over the miscreants on social media targeting the organization's repute.
A deliberate act of character assassination being done as part of an unscrupulous propaganda against the NSCN, the outfit remarked.
Agreement no mean achievement
The NSCN said the Framework Agreement brought about by the recognition of Naga history and the situation is no mean achievement for them.
The Govt had officially acknowledged the historical reality of Nagaland on which a permanent solution could be forged soon.
The meeting came at a time when a delegation of top leaders of NSCN-IM are camping in New Delhi for taking forward the talks with the officials of the Home Ministry and the Intelligence Bureau.
