Seven people killed in a brutal accident in Nalgonda

7 farm workers including six female workers killed in a fatal accident on Thursday Jan21. They were in a seven-seater rickshaw which collided with a container truck. According to the Police official, this Accident took place around 6:30 pm outside Essar filling station near Angadipeta X roads of Pedda Adiserlapally.

Immediately after the devastating accident, four people among the passengers of auto-rickshaw who were severely injured were sent to the hospital in Hyderabad.

According to the CCTV footage, the auto-rickshaw and container transport had a head to head collision when a mini transport vehicle was overtaking the container truck from the left on the two-lane highway. The deceased were identified as- Kottam Mallesham(40), the truck driver, Nomula Anjamma(50), Nomula Peddama(40), Kottam Peddama(50), Godugu Iddamma (48), Kottam Chandramma (35), Nomula Saidamma. All six women were agricultural workers from Chintabahi Village. According to the Victim's relative, the women departed early in that morning for paddy transplantation work at pothnur village, 30kms away. They were returning home after work when they met with the accident.

A.V Ragarnath, District Superintendent of Police, went to the accident spot. Bodies were sent to their village's hospital for post mortem.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao mourned over this heart-wrenching incident. He also directed officials for special medical care to the severely injured.
