Sex racket busted in Greater Noida, 23 arrested


The five policemen and the driver linked to the case have been put under suspension.


The news comes in from a small hotel in Dankaur. On Saturday the police of Greater Noida busted a sex racket and took in 12 women and 11 men from the hotel. The hotel has been sealed completely.


The manager of the hotel, Gyanendra Kumar is also found to be one of the suspects in the case. The police have revealed that the suspects are the residents of Noida, Greater Noida, and Bulandshahr. All of them were found in a compromising position. Some objectionable objects were also recovered from the premise.


The reports state that involvement of local police has also been found. The local police had hands in sheltering the racket. A driver of a local police van and five other police officials have been linked to the case.


The DCP of Greater Noida revealed that the police got to hear about the racket in Chiti village. The area falls under the Mandi Shyam police check post. A team was prepared to raid the place and arrested 23 people. The arrested people included the manager of the hotel.

Interrogations revealed that the owner of the property has been dead for two years now. Kumar was looking after the property. He also had a major role in running a sex racket in the hotel.


The family members of the suspects are demanding their release from the Dankur police station. A case has been registered on all 23 people under sections 3, 4, and 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956. The police said that the suspects were turned before the court and have been sent to judicial custody.
