Swiss developer to build and maintain Noida's Jewar airport, pact signed

A key agreement was signed between The Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL) and Zurich Airport International AG today that would allow Swiss developers to being the project at the site of the upcoming Jewar airport near Delhi.

The airport is being built on PPP model

The 'concession agreement' for the Greenfield airport, estimated to cost around Rs.30 thousand crore, was signed between the UP government's agency and the Yamuna International Airport Private Limited(YIAPL).

Nodal Officer for Jewar Airport Shailendra Bhatia affirmed that the agreement was signed and is deemed to construct the biggest airport in India.

The agreement would allow the Switzerland headquartered company to construct and maintain the airport that is built on the public-private partnership[(PPP) model.
