The truth narrative: freedom of speech, a boon.

The criminal codes are corroding the democracy

Dissenting against the majority has always either resulted in you being a victor or them bringing you into purposeful negative limelight for elevating your voice and thoughts. We have all by now normalized traumatizing one's visionary. While most of the people who consider themselves subtle and appeal for freedom of speech, in reality, they self contradict.

Voltaire quotes "To learn who rules over you, simply find out whom you cannot criticize".

Freedom of speech, a mandatory living in a democracy, the principle supporting an individual and a community to articulate their opinion without the fear of retaliation when is taken away causes dilemma towards our very own leaders.

The unlawful activities (prevention) act, a tool used by the government to suppress the dangerous activism is now merely handled for its actual role causing it now being draconian.

According to a recent study, nearly a third of India's Adivasis fear being framed for Maoist activities. Most recently following Bhima Koregaon violence, poet and activists like Varvara Rao and many others were charged under the draconian UAPA.

Regardless it is a mob who attacked an elderly ex-navy officer for a comic against a leader or the peaceful protestors held accused of causing riots, it's all a threat to the democracy which annihilates the netizens and youth's right to speech.

While democracy is considered to be at the end when protests cause riots and we literally doubt on the political notions.
