Two Cops Beaten up by Liquor Mafia in Kasganj, UP

Kasganj, UP: Two police officers in UP were reportedly harassed and overwhelmed in Kasganj, while they went on to raid an illegitimate liquor business in the area. One was a constable, Devendra and with him was a sub-inspector, Ashok Kumar.


The cops on-duty were stripped and beaten up by liquor mafia. They were severely attacked and struck multiple times with sticks and weapons. A search operation was commenced to locate the cops who were eventually kidnapped by the goons.

Ultimately, the victims were traced on a field in Nagla Dhimar village area under the jurisdiction of Sidhpura Police Station. Both of them were with critical injuries as they were taken to a nearby hospital and treatment was prescribed right away. It was unfortunate that the constable, Devendra succumbed to his injuries before the treatment could take effect.


According to sources, UP Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath himself commanded the treatment of SI Ashok Kumar. Also, an amount of Rs. 50 Lakh and a Government job to a family member was granted to the family of the deceased constable.


As per the words of District Magistrate, Chandra Prakash Singh, the Chief Minister is closely monitoring the situation and has given orders for the rigorous investigation to arrest the culprits.
