Woman slaps a civic worker for stopping her for not wearing a mask


In the video, it is clearly visible that a woman sitting in the autorickshaw is asked by the civic body official to wear a mask.


Mumbai crossed the count of 3000 cases daily on Friday. This has happened for the very first time after the virus hit the country. At times like these, people can be seen evading basic covid rules and being ignorant towards them.


This incident took place in the Kandivali area of Mumbai. A woman was seen without a mask and stopped by a Birhanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) worker. The woman on being stopped, punched, and slapped the civic worker. The incident instantly got recorded and went viral on social media.


In the video, it is clearly visible that a woman sitting in the autorickshaw is asked by the civic body official to wear a mask. She can be seen hitting the official. The BMC worker held on to the woman. She was not letting her move. The woman continued to kick the worker.


The government of Maharashtra has made the mask mandatory and asked the officials to keep a check for the same. The police officials have been asked to issue challans for the people not abiding by the safety measures.
