A big boost for the Indian economy! Ola Electric is all set to open the world's largest electric scooter plant in Kashigiri, Tamilnadu.
Covered with solar panels, the Ola factory will be expanded on a 500-acre premise encircled by neon-painted homes, tiny shrines, and mango groves.
Ola will produce one electric-scooter every two seconds. With this aim, Ola has a plan to produce 10 million vehicles annually.
Ola Electric Mobility will not only leave behind the current largest manufacturing company like Athe Energy and big Chinese brand including Niu Technologies but it will also fulfill 15 percent of the world's e-scooter production demand by the mid of 2022.
In the era of big globalization, Ola has a big plan to strengthen the government's ambitious goal of Make in India and AtmanirbharBharat. Ola Electric Mobility will export electric vehicles abroad by the end of this year.
Along with the largest ever e- vehicle factory, Ola will be the most technologically advanced, AI-based industry. The facility will be built on facility 4.0 principles. Ola claims that it will recruit 3000 AI-powered robots whereas 10,000 jobs will be also be created in the factory.
Keeping environmental sustainability in the mind, Ola Electric stated that this mega factory will be solar and renewable energy powered. It will also have a 100-acre forest area.
The Indian market has less than 1 percent electric vehicle availability but India's largest think tank CEEW Center for Energy Finance claims that as India is looking forward to mobilizing itself towards electric vehicles, it will achieve $206 billion( around Rs 15,08,490 crore ) electric vehicle market.
